U-C-L-A =) !

University of California Los Angeles has always been my dream school. I always found this school as one top schools in California. I was actually accepted to UCLA for this year, but I resigned my acceptance, due to financial problems. Although I'm going to stay in Oxnard College for two years, I know someday I will be a UCLA BRUIN!

Some people say UCLA sucks, or whatever, mostly because of their football, basketball, or whatever sport. I do love sports, but the main reason why I want to come to this school is to become a medical doctor.

Since I was little, I used to say I wanted to be a doctor. I changed careers over time (teacher, chemical engineer, chef, designer, artist, professional dancer, architect..), but today I'm sure I want to be a Research Medical Doctor.

Why? you might ask... I mostly want to work with looking for cures to diseases, such as cancers. Its been about a year since my cousin Lupita died due to a leukemia cancer. Her struggle made an impact in my life because I don't think it was fair for her to die like that at a very young age (she died two days after turning 15).
I know life is not fair sometimes but when children, in particular, die of diseases, life IS NOT being fair! Kids have so much more to enjoy, live, and to love, its not reasonable why these innocent children have to suffer like this.
For this reason, I want to go into medical school, work in research, and maybe someday work for the CDC (Center for Disease Control).

Whether it takes me six, eight, ten, twelve, or how many years... I will make my effort to find cures to these diseases that have taken our loved ones.

smile.. you're on camera!

One of the things I really enjoy doing is being on camera. I like dancing, singing, acting, and doing lip syncs on my camera. There's always stuff to record, and its really fun making a fool of myself for others to see (of course, with moderation! ). I am random, fun, and crazy sometimes, and in my videos, you can totally tell!

I recently posted a new video on youtube, about a remake of another video.
I can say i am a fan of Jonas Brothers. They are just as crazy as me, because they like to make random, hillarious videos. Last friday ( oct. 16), they posted a video of a song they just randomly did, called "BOUNCE".
I LOOOVED it so much that me and some of my nephews decided to remake it. It was awesome and super funny!!!

OUR VERSION IS THIS ONE: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NblLIoP7wa8

well hope you guys like it! =)

A Runner's Nightmare...

MT. SAC INVITATIONALAbout Mt SAC CROSS COUNTRY INVITATIONAL

"Celebrating our 62nd Year, the Mt. SAC Cross Country Invitational has become our nation's largest cross country invitational. Last year a record 22,000+ participants competed over our famed 3 mile cross country course. The names "Valley Loop", "Switchbacks", "Poop Out Hill" and "Reservoir Hill" have become part of cross country legend and lingo. The course has changed little over the last 61 years, making it one of the few courses where different generations can compare times.
With races starting every 8 minutes or less (except the Sweepstakes Races) along with the famous Mark Guitierrez designed t-shirts, live webcast/feed and the huge "Big Screen", the event has become the most cherished cross country competiiton to the hundreds of thousands of runners who have competed in the invitational. "

NOW... LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT IT!!

Since my freshman year in high school, i have attended this invitational. The first time I went, I remember, my senior teammate told me it was a HORRIBLE race! Her and the rest of the senior runners kept telling us it was tough and hot. I was scared to go, but like any other race, i had to experience it to judge it myself. So there we were, a hot day in Walnut, Ca, ready to race a 2.93 mi course. From the parking lot we could see the BIGGEST hill of the course, otherwise know as "Reservoir"...

THE START LINE : http://events.mtsac.edu/ccinvite/movies/course/Airstrip%20Start.mov

The course starts with a flat 1 mile run around a 'dry lake'. This is the easiest part because its flat! Anyways, you go around this lake twice. http://events.mtsac.edu/ccinvite/movies/course/One%20Mile%20Mark.mov

After your second lap, you go up the hills known as 'Switchbacks'. Wonder why they're called like that..? http://events.mtsac.edu/ccinvite/movies/course/Switchbacks.mov

well after you get up those switchbacks.. you head your way down to the 'Poopout Hill'. Yeah its a funny name, but if you run it, you literary poop out!! this is the toughest hill for me because its soo steep!! http://events.mtsac.edu/ccinvite/movies/course/Poop%20Out%20Hill.mov

after poop out, we head into the last hill, Reservoir. They say this one is the toughest, mostly because you go up a steep hill (less steep than poop out) to a flat 3o meters ground, then for about 20 meters, theres a bit more of that hill. Once you are at the top, you have ONLY 800 METERS TO GET TO THE FINISH LINE!! [ my favorite part]http://events.mtsac.edu/ccinvite/movies/course/Reservoir%20Hill.mov

this is where we kick some booty!!!

http://events.mtsac.edu/ccinvite/movies/course/Finish%20Line.mov

The reason why i love Mt. Sac is because there are many runners THAT DONT KNOW HOW TO RUN SMART! they either start off too fast, walk up the hills or poop out at the hills. Im not the fastest runner, never have been, but i sure know how to run Mt Sac.

Well, tomorrow Oxnard College takes on 35 teams at this invitational. We hope to do good, and beat some booty! Gotta go and represent who we are!

lets go condors!!!!!

Rain.

What a perfect day to talk about rain! From the many things nature does to the environment, rain is one of my favorites. Why? I love the rain because its so refreshing and peaceful. I enjoy the feeling of the mist in my skin gradually getting thicker. Most of all, I enjoy getting wet!

I remember from childhood, all of the kids in my neighborhood use to come out after the rain stopped to jump in the puddles. We sometimes used to have water fights, where we grabbed the water from the puddle and dumped it on someone. After our parents saw what we were doing, they told us not to do it anymore because it was dirty water. We sometimes did it anyways. We loved getting wet!

Now, I hardly play in the rain, partly because its not as fun doing it alone. I do like running in the rain though. Running on a fall/winter day is cool because you don't really sweat! It is also relaxing because you dont feel tired. Your body warms up when you exercise, so when its cold, you still feel warm inside, no matter how cold it is.

As I sit in the computer lab, I can see the wind blowing the fresh, moisty, windy air, telling us its almost winter time. I got myself my comfy hoodie and my warm boots to enjoy the first rain of the season.

Oxnard has been known to have the perfect weather all year long, and today, its just so very perfect.
[[ im so looking forward to running today :) ]]

today's run

People who have never ran for fun always ask me what's on my mind when I run. Well I certantly can't run with my ipod on the street because it's dangerous and coach doesn't let us. So instead I sing in my head. I would sing out loud but I have to breath through my mouth. But one thing I always do is think.

As soon as I start running, I start thinking of how I feel. I've been injured a bit from training, so I'm always making sure I feel good before hurting myself even more. Then sometimes the guys say dumb stuff, so I keep thinking over and over about their jokes. They're kind of dumb, but I have to admit they are hillarious!

Anyways, well today I was distracted by a 'booty' ( as coach will say). I was supposed to run 5.5 miles. He has different routes for different milage. So the boys went down one road to do 6.5 miles. I got distracted by the guys infront of me that i missed my turn and went with them. Coach was biking next to us, when he saw me behind the crowd. He came up to me and asked me how I was feeling. I said I was fine. Then he told me that I was going the wrong way!

I felt so dumb! I wanted to go back my route but coach just told me to do the 4 mile course. That road was the same the guys went, except they went further down. He told me that in order to make up for my milage, I had to go around the college once when I got there. I just sighed and continued running.

As I went along, i just kept thinking how dumb of me of going the wrong way. But i blame THE BOOTY!!! =)

shhh! its a secret..

I have a double life...

NO! im not Hannah Montana!

but I do have a simple explanation for that: I behave differently at home and at 'public' places. At school, I am the sweet, smart, confident, innocent, mature, young woman everyone likes. Yeah, I got to admit I'm a little nerd-ish!At home, im the messy, mean, uncaring, irresponsible, immature, rebellious teenager parents complain.
I actually like acting differently around certain people. It helps me define myself more. Im not just some normal average girl. I am a random teenager, and I LOVE IT!!

no matter what my mood is, i can always be the : caring, responsible, fun, friendly, outgoing, confident, determined, wise, dreaming girl.

So I guess you can say I am "two-faced" or however you want to say it, but my outgoing personality never changes!
